![]() | ![]() I train 20 hours a week doing gymnastics, but how do you know that you have the talent to make a living out of your sport? When and how did you realise that you had a career in football?
Catherine from Oakwood, Derby ![]() Thanks for the question Catherine, I don´t think you ever really know you can make a living out of your sport you just hope you´re given the opportunity to live the dream. When you´re young you just enjoy what you´re doing, you don´t think about becoming a professional too much. If you´ve got a talent you´ll have good people around you to advise you and let you know what you have to do if you want to go further, whether it´s sending to trials or whatever. I signed for Stoke when I was 15 and then turned pro when I was 17 and haven´t looked back since. You´re training 20 hours a week so you´re obviously working hard. Good luck with it!
